Kathy Garlow spoke at Northwestern University School of Law on the topic of “Starting a Business from the Accountant's Point of View”.  She covered issues related to choice of entity, tax accounting methods, tax year compliance and reporting, and tax elections.  She presented a similar program in 2007 for the law school.
